Silence on the Stage: Who Killed Sigrid Stevenson?
Tuesday Jul 01, 2025
Tuesday Jul 01, 2025
In September of 1977, 25-year-old Sigrid Stevenson — a gifted pianist and free spirit — was spending the night at Kendall Hall, the theater building on Trenton State College’s campus. She had nowhere else to go, and the stage, with its old piano and quiet darkness, had become a kind of sanctuary for her.
The next night, she was found brutally murdered — naked, beaten, and left in the very place that had once brought her peace.
Sigrid wasn’t just another student. She was brilliant, a bit unconventional, and deeply passionate about her music. Her life and her death left a mark, and for nearly five decades, her case has remained unsolved — a frustrating mix of silence, dead ends, and lingering questions.
In this episode, we dig into the life of Sigrid Stevenson and the strange details surrounding her murder. Was this a random act of violence, or did someone know she was there that night — alone and vulnerable?
It’s a story that’s heartbreaking, maddening, and deeply eerie. And the fact that her killer may have walked right back into the world unnoticed? That’s the kind of nightmare that still echoes through Kendall Hall.

Revisiting Fire in the Sky: Travis Walton's Alien Abduction
Tuesday Jun 24, 2025
Tuesday Jun 24, 2025
For our final week of June reruns, Kendra brings you the story of Travis Walton. Travis went missing for 5 days in the 1970s outside of Snowflake, Arizona. Seven of his coworkers witnessed Travis being struck by a light that was emitted from what they all believed was a flying saucer. When Travis showed back up several days later, disoriented but overall okay, he had a wild tale to share about his time onboard an alien spacecraft. His account would later be made into the 1980s movie Fire in the Sky.
Listen now for all of the details on this alien abduction story and tune in next week for an all new episode from Jessica!

Revisiting Scott Falater: The Sleepwalking Killer
Tuesday Jun 17, 2025
Tuesday Jun 17, 2025
This week, we are revisiting the interesting case of Scott and Yarmila Falater. On January 16, 1997, Scott brutally murdered Yarmila in the backyard of their Arizona home while their kids were asleep upstairs. The kick is… he doesn’t remember doing it. Or so he says. His defense? Sleepwalking! Listen in to see how you’ll side. Was he sleepwalking? Did he have a psychotic break? Or is Scott just another calculated, cold-blooded killer?

Revisiting The Cleveland Abductions: Ariel Castro's House of Horrors
Tuesday Jun 10, 2025
Tuesday Jun 10, 2025
As we continue our June break, this week we are bringing you the remastered Cleveland Abduction episode. We released this in November of 2023 and it has been our most listened to case on the podcast. I feel like we are all drawn to this story because it is truly unbelievable that Ariel Castro got away with the abduction of 3 girls for over a decade!
In 2008, the nation was shocked when 3 women were discovered in his home along with a 6-year-old girl who had been born in captivity. These women had been taken while they were young teenagers and re-emerged as traumatized adults. Their stories of what happened behind these locked and closed doors for 11 years was truly shocking.
Listen now as we revisit The Cleveland Abductions of Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus.

Revisiting the Brothers Grimm: The Dark History of Your Favorite Fairy Tales
Tuesday Jun 03, 2025
Tuesday Jun 03, 2025
A huge thank you to our listeners for sticking it out with us for over two years while we figure out this podcast life! We are taking a short break while we both transition through some pivotal changes in our lives. But we will not leave you empty-handed. We are bringing back some ancient episodes that have fallen off (aged out) of certain platforms. They are remastered and better for your ears! First up…The Grimm Brothers!
Snow White. Hansel and Gretel. Puss in Boots. Rapunzel. Cinderella. Rumpelstiltskin. Little Red Riding Hood.
What do all these famous tales have in common? Okay, books and movies, yes… but let’s go back in time. Way back. These fairy tales had a dark beginning, but we wouldn’t have them today if it weren’t for two very ambitious and determined brothers. This week, Jessica takes us down the windy path of the Brothers Grimm and reads us a few stories that you won’t see put out by Disney anytime soon.

Hey Lab Rats! It's time for the 14th installment of our Lab Reports. This week seems to be Colorado themed. We share a listener story of a UFO encounter in Black Canyon of the Gunnison followed by Kendra's mini episode about John List. He is one of the most famous family annihilator cases. John murdered his entire family and got away with it for 18 years before he was caught by a Colorado neighbor.
Jessica's mini episode is the sad story of Peggy Beck, a 16-year-old girl scout that was savagely murdered and authorities are still looking for the murderer over 50 years later.
Join us now for this special episode and be sure to send in your personal stories to be highlighted on a future Lab Reports!
